Orienteering at Longrun Meadow

We had a brilliant day at Longrun Meadow taking part in some Orienteering activities! Our Young Leaders led a warm up in the Willow Cathedral, we used our map skills and compasses to locate the controls and had a lovely picnic lunch!

Values Day: Perseverance and Humility

For Values Day this week, Cedar learnt all about perseverance by learning a new skill! We tried our hands at Cat's Cradle, which definitely took a lot of practice! We also persevered as a class to make hand-churned butter from cream.

Outdoor Education Festival at Norton Manor Camp

We had an absolutely brilliant day yesterday at Norton Manor. About 800 children from lots of different schools joined us to take part in Biathlon, Orienteering, Capture the Flag and Rollerball!

Health Week- Archery and Golf

As part of Health Week, we had the chance to take part in some coaching sessions on Archery and Golf! It was great to take part in activities that many of us had not tried before!

Intrasports- Netball and Rounders

Cedar Class had a wonderful week celebrating books and reading! Our week was started off by author David Lawrence Jones and a fantastic show to enthuse and inspire us. Throughout the week, we did a range of activities relating to books. We had: reading in an unusual position in the classroom, writing and illustrating a class story trail, making incy wincy books, reading stories to Elm class and lots more! It was a great week, ending with a chance to strut our stuff on the Book Week Catwalk as our favourite book characters!

Crealy was AMAZING!!!

A huge thank you from Cedar Class to FOSS and all our helpers for such a wonderful day out. . . we had so much fun :)

Taunton School Science Show

Cedar Class were lucky to have the opportunity to visit Taunton School and watch a Science Show. We saw lots of exciting experiments with plenty of bangs and flashes!

Values Day: Trust and Responsibility

We demonstrated our trust in our friends and our ability to be trusted by wearing blackout goggles during our Values Day and leading/being led around some obstacles.

Cedar Class 'Take Over' Somerset Heritage Centre

Cedar Class were very excited to be part of the Somerset Heritage Centre's Take Over Day. The children were given the opportunity to try their hand at a range of activities. These included looking at how writing has evolved over time, sorting a collection of items and working with the public in the search room. They were also given a guided tour of the building - including special areas not seen by the public. It was an informative and interesting morning!

A Great time at Great Wood!

Wow! What an amazing adventure we had at Great Wood! Shelter Building, a Night Walk, Archery, Low Ropes, Orienteering, Rocket Building and a Campfire with marshmallows and Birthday cake! We're exhausted but had an amazing time :)
