Book Week: 12th-16th June 2017
Cedar Class had a wonderful week celebrating books and reading! Our week was started off by author David Lawrence Jones and a fantastic show to enthuse and inspire us. Throughout the week, we did a range of activities relating to books. We had: reading in an unusual position in the classroom, writing and illustrating a class story trail, making incy wincy books, reading stories to Elm class and lots more! It was a great week, ending with a chance to strut our stuff on the Book Week Catwalk as our favourite book characters!
A huge thank you from Cedar Class to FOSS and all our helpers for such a wonderful day out. . . we had so much fun :)

Cedar Class 'Take Over' Somerset Heritage Centre
Cedar Class were very excited to be part of the Somerset Heritage Centre's Take Over Day. The children were given the opportunity to try their hand at a range of activities. These included looking at how writing has evolved over time, sorting a collection of items and working with the public in the search room. They were also given a guided tour of the building - including special areas not seen by the public. It was an informative and interesting morning!
