What a glorious day for Sports day. A huge thank you to all those parents that were able to come and support the children and well done to all the children who worked really hard and tried their very best!
Cherry class Sports day
This week the children have had a fantastic time taking part in 'Health Week.' They have visited the Life Education Bus, had the opportunity to try Archery and take part in some food tasting. On Thursday the school had the amazing opportunity to meet Duncan Goodhew as he delivered a whole school collective worship.
Here are the Spellings for the remainder of Summer B half term.
Today, as a start to our new topic "Are bugs important?" the children have been able to make the most of the beautiful sunshine and have been outside searching for mini beasts.
The children enjoyed looking at several pieces of artwork and creating their own paintings based on a piece of art by Renoir.
Wow, a huge well done, and thanks to all the Cherry class children and their parents for the fantastic homework projects Mrs Page and I have enjoyed seeing this week.
The children seemed to have enjoyed learning about Guatemala and this could be seen in the range of work the children shared.
Well done again, enjoy your half-term!
We had a fantastic time at the Old Mexican restaurant on Friday. The children had the opportunity to taste some traditional Guatemalan food and then made their very own flatbread with toppings!
Here are the spellings for Cherry class so far this half term. The remaining 2 weeks will follow shortly. The spellings should come home in your child's homework book on a Friday and they will be tested on the following Friday.
This half term in P.E we are looking at improving our balance. We had fun playing 'Pop up Pirate' trying to balance as much equipment as we could! The children were very good at it!!!
The children have had lots of fun learning all about fractions this week!
Well done to you all for producing such a fantastic range of musical instruments, they really were great. The children certainly enjoyed putting together their own performance of 'Stomp!'
