Welcome to Cherry Class Page

Please come and visit often and see all the exciting things we have been up to!

The best way of understanding capacity is by getting wet! Today Cherry Class went outside to measure the capacity of different containers!

Cherry Class have been investigating different measures in maths!

To help us with our quick recall of our times tables we played a game where we rolled a dice and then multiplied the numbers that it landed on together!

Sound Walk!

Making my Program in Scratch. Today we learnt about programming, we used the app Scratch to put commands into a sequence to achieve a specific outcome.

Today we painted daffodils. We sketched an observational drawing of it first then we use watercolours to paint the daffodils.

Today we used musical instruments to help us learn a poem. We worked on creating suspense and presenting in a clear voice.

Chinese New Year! We made dragons and attended a Chinese Dancing workshop! We had lots of fun!

In English we looked at retelling a story using only sound from musical instruments. All our pieces finished with a big BANG and then silence to show the Iron Man stuck in the deep pit!

We use the iPads as a research tool during our topic lessons!

We use actions to help us to remember a story!

Maths!

Have a look at all the exciting learning Cherry Class will be doing this half term...

Day 2! Naughty Chip made a shoe train!

Chip the elf has arrived in Cherry Class! He wrote a letter explaining who had sent him and why. The children were all very excited and some have noticed Chip moving! Just a blink here and there! Chip will be staying in Cherry Class until the 25th of December and will be keeping a close eye on the children.
