Elm Class 2021-22

Welcome to Elm Class 2021-22! We hope you enjoy looking at all the fantastic things we get up to in Reception. Please check our page regularly for news and updates.

In Elm Class we have been learning about 'People who help us'. The children made thank you cards for our real-life heroes. We took the cards to the post office to send to the police station, fire station and hospital. The children helped to weigh the letter, give the money and collect the change. They had a fantastic time and were extremely polite and patient in the shop.

Elm Class had a great week learning about Diwali. We enjoyed seeing Seymour Bear dressed up in his best Diwali outfit and made some Diva lamps by making salt dough, moulding it into pots using our fine motor skills and finally decorating them beautifully using paint and glitter.

Elm Class welcomed Helen who brought along Harold the giraffe this week! They helped us learn all about the different parts of our bodies and how we can look after them.

Awesome Autumn!

We have had lots of fun exploring and using the things we found on our Autumn walk. We have strengthened our fine motor skills by making beautiful leaf necklaces and hammering pumpkins. We also had a conker rolling competition to see who could roll their conker the furthest!
