Welcome to Elm Class!
Wow! Look how busy Elm Class have been since joining the school in September.
I hope you enjoy looking at the photos of some of our exciting activities.
In March we planted some potatoes. There were three Rocket potatoes and three Rudolph potatoes.
On 19th June we dug them up. There were 14 Rocket potatoes and 15 Rudolph potatoes. The Rudolph potatoes were red!
The day after, we cleaned, cooked and ate them. They were delicious!
We have been learning about China this week because on Friday it is Chinese New Year. We found China on our world map - it's a very long way away!
We have done a dragon dance with paper dragons that we made. We have also tried to do some Chinese writing with black paint. Today we tasted prawn crackers, egg noodles, sweet and sour sauce, and soy sauce. They were delicious and we thought of lots of words to describe them.
This week we have been learning about adding numbers together. We have also been writing number sentences.
Mrs Nelson came in to have a play with our amazing adding machine!
