'That they may have life, life in all its fullness' John 10:10
Building on the School’s Christian Foundation, we recognise that the children are our future – what they experience here today they take into tomorrow… We hope that the children come to understand the key Christian values and apply them to how they live their lives.
The values of generosity, compassion, courage, forgiveness, friendship, respect, thankfulness, trust, perseverance, justice, service and truthfulness are celebrated in our school and linked to “What Jesus Would Do?”
The two schools in the United Benefice of Staplegrove and Norton FitzWarren share a joint Ethos Committee, comprising staff, governors and church members. Our policies for RE, Collective worship and Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural are discussed, agreed and reviewed through this joint group. This adds meaning to the christian life of our schools and parish.
Our policies are available at the bottom of this page.
Our Christian Values
Our Christian Values are at the forefront of all that we do at Staplegrove Church School; they are also combined with the on-going work we carry out on our British Values (mutual respect, rule of law, democracy and individual liberty).
Each half term every class takes part in a values led day. Staff and children focus on the values we have learnt about during the term and take part in lots of different activities relating to these. Our aim is that all children will be able to understand and demonstrate these values and link them to real life situations and contexts. Continuing to learn about our values will ensure that we all understand how they help to make our school and our community a really positive place to be.
