Willow Class 2021-22

Welcome to Willow Class

2021 - 2022

Welcome!

Thank you for visiting our class page. Here you can find out about our learning in class as well as important information about our class routines.

Mr Dickinson

P.E

P.E will take place every Thursday. Please ensure you wear your full P.E. kits to school and that you are prepared for all manners of weather!

Homework

  • You are expected to read at least 5 times a week (remember to quiz once you've finished a book on Accelerated Reader), and practise your times tables on TT Rockstars at least 5 times a week.

  • You have a set of spellings in your home spelling book to practice a few times a week, in readiness for a test at the end of term.

  • You have your half-termly topic homework - this half-term it has a History focus.

If you are unsure about any pieces of homework, please don't worry. Come and speak to me and we can work through it together.

☆ Stars of the Week

Our stars of the week for the Spring Term (so far) have been:

Seb, who received a Ready certificate for always being ready to focus, work hard and make good contributions in class.

Jess, who received a Responsible certificate for applying her maths learning effectively to tricky situations and taking pride in her work in English.

P.E. Festival at Taunton Academy

Willow Class had a fun and successful time at the Taunton Academy P.E. Festival on October 6th. They were split into three teams and competed against teams from other schools in netball, tag rugby, frisbee and handball. All three teams impressed with their teamwork and tactical play, which we had been thinking about in P.E. lessons, but particular congratulations must go to Team 1, who achieved joint first place out of all of the schools competing.
