Year 6 SATs Revision
The children in Year 6 will be taking their SATs during the week of May 12th. This is an exciting opportunity for the children to show off what they have learnt. We will endeavour to make this week as fun and enjoyable as possible whilst complying with the requirements of the testing regime.
Please ensure children are in school in plenty of time each day and are well rested before and during SATs week - plenty of sleep, special meals, and relaxing diversions!
Schools are required to administer the following levels 3-5 tests:
· English reading (comprehension)
· English grammar, punctuation and spelling (spag)
· Mathematics (Paper A, Paper B & Mental Maths)
Timetable:
|
Schools may also choose to administer level 6 versions of these tests for those children who are already demonstrating attainment above level 5. Children who are entered in the Level 6 tests must achieve a level 5 in the levels 3-5 test and pass the corresponding level 6 test in the same year to be awarded an overall level 6 result. If the child does not pass the level 6 test they will be awarded the level achieved in the levels 3-5 test.

Half Term Sumdog Challenge
Well done to all those who took part in the Half Term Challenge. As a class you answered almost 5000 maths questions! Very well done to Danielle Frounks and Josh Lukins who made it to the top of the leader board and managed to answer 3500 questions between them. Look out for the next challenge coming up soon.
Children in Willow class always have plenty to say, and have been taking part in debates as part of their Literacy this half term. In groups the children wrote and presented balanced arguments covering a range of topics that are important to them.
